5. Installation
Preparatory Work
Deliver product in manufacturer's original, unopened, undamaged
containers with identification labels intact. Store protected
from exposure to harmful environmental conditions, frost-free
and at temperature and humidity levels recommended by the
manufacturer.
I
W25-3 requires a drain and 120V power. Ensure provisions are
made for power and for draining condensate from the unit and
confirm that obstructions, such as plumbing or electric lines, do
not block unit placement. Where sound is a concern, mount the
unit at the back of the room.
Do not remove any co
mponents of the IW25-3 dehumidifier,
including the Styrofoam noise insulation shroud.
Precautions
I
f hard-wired, IW25-3 should be installed and inspected by
a qualified e lectrician a nd i n a ccordance w ith a ll a pplicable
electrical and plumbing codes. Be certain power is turned off
and unplugged or the circuit breaker is off before and during
installation and maintenance. Ensure the unit is connected to a
wiring system with an equipment-grounding conductor.
For stairwells and hallways, ensure the installed unit provides
sufficient clearance for pedestrian traffic.
Methods
In-wall Installation
Locate wall studs at the desired location for installation. Cut a
rough opening 14.5" wide by 25.5" high, ensuring a minimum
