• Use only Inmarsat-supplied or approved batteries,
and recharge your battery with Inmarsat-supplied or
approved chargers for the phone
• Do not store fully charged or low charge batteries
for long periods of time without use. 80% charge is
optimal for storage. The battery should be stored in
dry conditions, not assembled into the handset, with
the contacts protected. Ideal conditions are between
-20 and +20 °C. Please check the remaining power
levels in the battery and test the handset every three
months. Recharge if the power has dropped below
40%. More frequent checking and recharging may be
necessary depending on storage conditions. When
the battery charge is very low, it may take some time
for the charging indicator to show on the screen after
connecting the charger. To view the battery % charge
remaining, please look in Settings > About.
• Unplug the charger from the power socket and your
phone when not in use. Do not leave a fully-charged
battery connected to a charger, as overcharging
may shorten its life. The battery can be charged and
discharged hundreds of times, but it will eventually wear
out. Batteries gradually lose their charge even when
the phone is completely switched off. When the talk
and standby times are noticeably shorter than normal,
replace the battery
• When using any cable connections with your phone,
ensure that it cannot be stepped on, tripped over or
otherwise subjected to damage or stress
• Upgrade your phone’s firmware when advised to do
so by Inmarsat or your service provider
These suggestions apply equally to your phone, battery,
chargers, and any accessory. If your phone is not working
properly, contact your service provider.
