connecting your
amplifier.

1.
Mounting
the
amplifier
IMPORTANT:
Disconnect
the
vehicle's
negative(-)
battery
terminal
before beginning
the
installation.
• Always
wear protective eyewear when using
tools.
Check
clearances on
both
sid
es
of
a
planned
mounting s
urface.
Be
sure
th
at
sc
rews or wir
es
will
n
ot
punc
tur
e brake
lines, fuel lines,
or
wiring harnesses,
and
that wire routing
will
not interfere with
the
sa
fe
vehicle
operation.
•
Wh
en making
el
ec
trical
connections,
make s
ur
e
th
ey are secure a
nd
properly insulated.
If
you
must
replace
any
of
the
amplifier's
fuses,
be
sure
to
use
the
same
type
of
fuse and current rating
as
that
of the
original.
To keep the
amplifier
coo
l,
c
hoo
se a
location
that
pr
ovides enough air
circulation,
such as under a seat
or
in t
he
trunk.
Do not mount the
amplifier
with the h
ea
tsink f
ac
ing downward, as this interferes
wit
h
coo
lin
g.
Mo
unt
th
e
amp
lifi
er
so
th
at it
wi
ll
not
be
damaged by the feet of backse
at
passengers
or
shifting
ca
r
go
in
th
e trunk, a
nd
so
tha
t
it
remains dry.
Using the
amp
lifi
er
as a
t
emp
lat
e,
mark the
locations
of the mounting
hol
es
on
the mounting surface.
Drill pil
ot
holes
in
th
e
mount
ing surface.

Attach the
amplifier to
th
e mounting s
urf
ace
with
four
app
ropriate mounting
sc
rews (not
in
cluded).

and connect it

use

grommets
whenever routing wires
through the firewall
or
other
sheet
meta
l.
IMPORTANT:
Fai

adequately
protect the

sitive wire
from
potential
damage
may

icle
fire.

point

the

Use
sandpaper to

ear
the
paint
from
the
meta

surface

chassis

a star-type
lock
washer
to
secure
the
wire.
