5.5 Current Sense
The TLE8102SG includes an integrated current sense feature. If the device is programmed (via SPI) to use this
feature, the current source I
IS
of the current sense pin becomes active and generates a pull-down current
proportional to the load current of the selected channel. An external pull-up resistor must be connected to the
current sense pin to generate a voltage signal proportional to the load current of the selected channel. To achieve
the specified accuracy for current sensing, the voltage V
IS
at the current sense pin must always be greater than or
equal to 2 V. The current source I
IS
can also be programmed to generate a current proportional to the sum of the
load current of both channels.
