Name
Key Descr iption
Name
The name of this IP reader (like 'P rinter Q 745') This name w ill also be used as
host name, it is sent to the DH C P serv er and DNS serv er if they are enabled.

Enabled if DHC P be used, disabled if the netw ork information need to be filled
out manually .
IP The IP -address for the IP reader.
Netmask
The netmask (only used w hen using subnetting, ask y our sy stem
administrator, if y ou're not sure). S tandard v alue 255.255.255.0
Gatew ay
The IP address of the gatew ay (The gatew ay is de serv er that is located
betw een tw o netw orks, like the Internet and y our local netw ork). It is usually
the same address as the DN S serv er.
Domain Name
Sy stem
The IP address of the serv er w ith the Domain Name Sy stem, the sy stem tha
t
transforms names to IP -addresses and v ice v ersa.
Server config settings

Serv er 1 IP The address of the serv er that the IP reader should contact.
Serv er 2 IP
The address of the back-up serv er that the IP reader should contact. It w ill be
contacted if the first serv er does not respond.
Serv er 1 name
When DNS is used the name of the serv er can be entered, the IP-address
v alue for this serv er w ill be ignored, and retriev ed from the DNS serv er.
Serv er 2 name
When DNS is used the name of the serv er can be entered, the IP -address
v alue for this serv er w ill be ignored, and retriev ed from the DNS serv er
Key set
Key set w ill giv e the possibility to set the encry ption key betw een the IP
reader and the serv er. A t the time of w riting the v alue as not y et used and
should alw ay s be set to '1'.

These fields will be used for retrieving the card reader data. The
values entered here are dependent on the card that is used.

will find the data that applies to the data supplied in a decimal
format.
