Introduction Thank you for choosing Impact. The Impact LM-FSA1040 is an innovative light-shaping tool that is compatible with studio strobes or LEDs with Bowens S-mounts or S-mount adapters. The glass fresnel lens provides dramatic lighting options by focusing your light from a concentrated 10% spot to a wide 40% flood. Whether in the flood or spot position, the Fresnel Spot delivers the ability to focus on a specific area with even light and a well-defined beam.
Precautions • Use only LED lights that draw up to 150 W or monolight flashes up to 1,000 W/s. • Flashes that include tungsten modeling lights of 150 W or less should be used for a maximum of 30 seconds only. • Allow tungsten lights to cool before reuse. • Please read and follow these instructions, and keep this manual in a safe place. • Keep this unit away from water and any flammable gases or liquids. • Make sure that this product is intact and that there are no missing parts.

Instructions Attaching the LM-FSA1040 1. Align the tabs of the fresnel housing mounting ring with the slots of the Bowens S-mount and insert the fresnel into the mount. 2. Rotate the housing clockwise until it locks into place. Note: It’s recommended to do this with the housing in the shortest (closed) position. Focusing Your Light For a narrow beam, rotate the lens clockwise until the desired beam angle is achieved. Use the housing to rotate the fresnel spot whenever a beam adjustment is needed.
Instructions Using Gels To attach a gel to the fresnel, follow these steps: 1. Align the slots in the gel’s mounting frame with the tabs on the fresnel. Make sure that the arrow on the gel’s frame is pointing toward the locking button. 2. Gently press the gel down and turn it counterclockwise until the locking button pops up and locks the gel into place. To remove the gel from the fresnel, press down on the locking button and turn the gel clockwise until it can be removed from the mounting frame.
