4.2 Operation with a DMX controller
1)
Set the spotlight to the operating mode
“DMX control”: Depending on the number
of DMX channels to be used for controlling the
spotlight, select either the menu item
(3-channel mode) or the menu item
(5-channel mode).
2)
Call up the menu item selected ( or )
and set the DMX start address. For separate
control of all DMX-controlled units, each unit
must have its own start address. Example: If
the first DMX channel of the spotlight is to
be controlled by the light controller via DMX
address 5, set the start address on the spotlight
to 5. All other DMX channels of the spotlight
will be automatically assigned to the subse-
quent addresses.
Example: In the 5-channel mode with start ad-
dress5, the channels 1 to 5 are assigned to the
addresses 5 to 9. Address 10 is the next possible
start address available for the following DMX-con-
trolled unit.
It will now be possible to control the spotlight via
the DMX controller as desired.
Note: The address that has been set for one channel
mode ( or ) will also apply to the other chan-
nel mode.
