What is chenille?
• Chenille fabric is made from irregular fuzzy yarns
through weaving, giving the fabric a smooth and
soft surface.
• Chenille reects light in a characteristic way,
which may make the colour appear as if it
changes.
• Pressmarks or folding marks that may appear on
the fabric usually disappear after some time.
• Small bres may appear on the fabric. It happens
naturally and they disappear over time and can
also be removed with a garment roll.
How to care for chenille
• To make sure that the fabric maintains its look
and feel, it needs to be cared for regularly
according to the care instructions included with
the product.
• Remove dust with a lint remover.
• Pressmarks or folding marks can be removed by
gently stroke with your hand in the direction of
the pile or use a soft clothes brush. You can also
use the vacuum cleaner with the soft nozzle.
• Light stains can be removed with a sponge
damped in water or a mild soapy solution.
• Wet marks should always be dried o as soon as
possible to stop moisture penetration.
• Use a steamer to restore the fabric or use the
steam function on an iron without pressing
directly onto the fabric.
• For removable covers: iron the chenille cover
on the reverse side at low temperature (110°C)
before putting it on your sofa for the rst time.
• Do not iron the cover on the side with pile since it
can damage the pile.
For sofas and armchairs which have cushions with
removable covers, but where another fabric is
sewn to the edge, it is not recommended to wash
the covers since the cover’s colour may appear
dierent on dierent parts of the sofa.

• It is possible to use a steam iron on the fabric/pile
with the face side up.
• It is possible to iron the cover on the reverse side
at low temperature (110°C).
