1.2 External Overview

The PPC-5xxx-9455 flat panel PC is comprised of an LCD screen, aluminum front panel

and heavy duty steel rear and side panels. The rear panel provides screw holes for wall

and an arm mounting. The right panel provides access to a slim type CD drive bay and a

floppy disk drive bay. The bottom panel provides access to external interface connectors

that include GbE, USB 2.0, audio, parallel port, serial port connectors, VGA port, PCI card

slot and a CompactFlash® card slot.

1.2.1 Front Panel

The front panel of the PPC-5xxx-9455 (Figure 1-2) is a flat panel TFT LCD screen

surrounded by an aluminum frame.
