4.5 Preinstalled Components
The following components are all preinstalled.
 Motherboard
 TFT LCD screen
 1.0 GB DDR2 SO-DIMM
 Power switch
 Power module
Preinstalled OEM customizations may include the following.
 2.5” SATA HDD
 CD drive (PPC-3712A-N270 Only)
Installation of some of the components are described in the following sections.
4.6 Installation and Configuration Steps
The following installation steps must be followed.
Step 1: Unpack the flat panel PC
Step 2: Set the jumper settings (not usually necessary)
Step 3: Install HDD and CD drive
Step 4: Mount the flat panel PC
Step 5: Connect peripheral devices to the bottom panel of the flat panel PC

4.7 Remove the Back Cover
4.7.1 PPC-3708 Back Cover Removal
The back cover of the PPC-3708 is secured to the chassis with seven retention screws,
five on the rear panel and two on the top panel (
Figure 4-1). Remove the seven retention
screws and lift the cover off the PPC-3708.
