5. THE ACQUISITION SOFTWARE
5.1 The Notebook Computer
The DETECTORDUO acquisition SW is installed on a Notebook
Computer. This SW is dedicated to the specific phases of setting up,
acquiring and saving radar data.
IDS recommends to use one of two following laptops :
5.1.1 Hammerhead rugged tablet PC
The Hammerhead rugged tablet PC (Fig. 5.1), has the following
specifications:

• Magnesium housing and shock absorbing rubber bumper system
with carry handle, elastic hand straps and shoulder strap.
• Size: 10 5/8” X 8 ¼” x 1 9/16”.
• Weight: 4.8lbs. with bumpers, battery and pen.

• 1.1 GHz Intel Pentium M Processor
• 1 MB cache
• System Bus 400 MHz
• Intel 855GME chipset
Memory / Storage
• 512 MB
• 40 GB hard drive
Display
(Pen Tablet PC Version)
• 10.4” XGA 1024x768 Reflective (bright sunlight readable) or
Transmissive (indoor)
• Proximity sensing high resolution electromagnetic
digitizer using passive pen
• More than 1000 dpi resolution
• Right and left mouse button emulation
