1. Install the iSwimband App
Download and open the iSwimband app from your device
2. Checking Notication Settings in iOS
Open Settings and choose “Notication Center”
Scroll down and choose “iSwimband”
Make sure “Alerts” is selected and all options are set
to ON (green)
Note: Do not use Banners because they disappear automatically and could
cause you to miss an alert.
Agree to allow notications and to the disclaimer
WARNING: If you do not allow notications and are not actively using
the iSwimband app, you will not receive alerts.
3. Connecting an iSwimband
Power on the iSwimband by lightly tapping it on a rm
surface 5 times and waiting for the red blinking light
Tap an available iSwimband to connect
Enter the last 6 digits of the serial number located on
the device or on the box and tap “Continue”
Customize the name to identify the wearer
Choose a wearer type and tap “Continue”
From the Monitor tab, choose
“Add an iSwimband”
NOTE: The device will automatically shut
off after 10 minutes of inactivity or when
disconnected from the app. To disconnect the
device, close the iSwimband app on all of your
devices by double-tapping the home button
and swiping up on the iSwimband screen.
Select the amount of time before an alert to
show a Warning
NOTE: Leaving the setting on “Immediate” will let you know whenever
a swimmer is underwater
Tap “Save”
Conrm your settings and return to the Monitor tab
4. Congure for a Non-Swimmer
Non-Swimmers do not need any further setup.
The alert will sound 3 seconds after a non-swimmer’s wristband
is submerged
Conrm your settings and return to the iSwimband
Monitor screen
NOTE: On this screen you can disconnect the iSwimband when not in use
to prevent battery drain
5. Congure for a Swimmer
Select the iSwimband to congure
Press the Edit button
NOTE: On this screen you can disconnect the iSwimband when not in use
to prevent battery drain
Select a period of delay before an Alert
NOTE: Increasing the delay above 20 seconds on the headband is contrary
to the advice of aquatic safety professionals
