Installing Crimp Dies
1. Remove two screws from nose end of Crimpmaster™ tool.
2. Slide dies into Crimpmaster™ nose with keyed ends facing
toward end of nose. Die half with crimping pins should be on
top.
3. Install screws finger tight.
4. Slowly close Crimpmaster™ tool, making sure both die halves
engage properly.
5. Tighten screws.
Fish Tape Preparation
Proper preparation and stripping of S-Class
®
fish tape is critical
to the strength of the eye-to-tape connection. The tool to be used
for cutting and stripping is a 45-120 or 45-215 T
®
-Stripper, or
equivalent.
1. Cut off damaged end of fish tape, using the 45-120 or 45-215
T
®
-Stripper. Scissors action of T-Stripper will cut S-Class
®
fish
tape cleanly, without crushing the fiber glass end.
2. Strip outer yellow nylon jacket exposing inner fiber glass. Use
T
®
-Stripper #10 gage stripping hole.
3. Pulling eye strip length to be 3/8” (9.5mm).
Gold-Fish

Leader strip length to be 5/16” (8 mm).
4. Caution should be taken to avoid nicking or scraping fiber glass
core. Any damage will weaken the eye-to-tape connection. If
damage appears, repeat cut and strip.
