FIGURE 2, the aces stay on top of the deck and
the four extra cards get split up!
SECRET SETUP: Before your audience arrives,
secretly palm four cards in your favored hand,
as shown in FIGURE 2. Keep that hand face
down, as in FIGURE 1, so no one will ever know
you’ve got cards hidden! Or, if you feel more
comfortable, palm the cards in Step 2, while the
volunteer is working with the deck.
SHOW:
1. Pull all four aces out of the deck. Ask the audience member to place them at the top of the deck -
remembering the order of the suits. (You can palm the cards now, while your audience is distracted, if you
prefer.)
2. Tell everyone that even though you’re going to place the aces in four different parts of the deck, you can
bring them together again. As you go to pick up the deck, place your favored hand (as shown in FIGURE
1) on top of the deck. This gives you the opportunity to put the four palmed cards on top of the four aces
without anyone realizing! Now take each of the top four cards and insert them one at a time into different
parts of the deck. As you place each one, refer to them as aces, you’re the only one who knows otherwise!
3. Cut the deck. Fan out the cards, face up, so that your audience can see them. Point out that the aces are
all together - in the same order as when you started. It’s a real crowd-pleaser!
66. DOUBLE LIFT
Magically, make a card change its face and
suit...from Two of Spades to Two of Hearts!
SUPPLIES NEEDED: Deck of playing cards
THE SECRET: Thanks to the “Double Lift” it’s
super easy! Your audience thinks you’re lifting
one card from the deck, when you’re lifting two!
See FIGURES 1 & 2. Practice so it goes smoothly
during the trick.
SECRET SETUP: Secretly place the Two of Hearts on the top of the deck with the Two of Spades directly
underneath it.
SHOW: Lift two cards from the top of the deck...remember the audience thinks its only one! Show
everyone the Two of Spades. Place the cards back on top of the deck. Wave your hand over the top card,
pick it up and presto, its changed into the Two of Hearts!
67. JOKER CARD LOCATOR
You can locate the card your audience selects time and time again!
SUPPLIES NEEDED: Deck of playing cards, scissors. You will permanently damage the Joker, so do NOT
use a deck which you will need the Joker in later.
THE SECRET: Thanks to the special “Joker Card Locator,” this trick is easy to perform and looks amazing!
SECRET SETUP: Create your special locator card by trimming a small amount (about 1/16”) from the
bottom of the Joker. Round the corners so it looks like a normal card. Place it on the bottom of the deck.
SHOW:
1. Fan out the cards and have the audience pick a card. Place it on the top of the deck. Split the cards,
placing the bottom half on top of the chosen card. In other words, the Joker will be directly in front of the
chosen card.
2. Place the cards in your hand and ruffle the deck from back to front. The Locator Card will automatically
stop at the chosen card. Cut the deck at this point. Now the Joker will be on top of the chosen card - lift
it and magically wave it over the top card. Flip the top card to show it matches the audience’s selection.
(Remove the Joker from the deck when finished.)

CARD MAGIC WITH A
REGULAR DECK
Here are some great card tricks you can perform anywhere. They all use a regular deck of playing cards.
You can also use your Mystery Deck included in this set for most of these tricks.
63. 4 CARDS & POCKET
Name the card your audience selects.
SUPPLIES NEEDED: Deck of playing cards
THE SECRET: The three cards hidden in your pocket allow you to “count” to the card your audience
selected.
SHOW:
1. Before you begin, secretly hide three cards in your pocket.
2. Now, you’re ready to perform magic! Place four cards face down on the table from right to left - count-
ing 1,2,3, and 4 as you place them down. Have an audience member pick a card, look at it and return it to
it’s place - all while your back is turned. Make sure he remembers the face, suit and position, (1,2,3 or 4)
of the card. When he’s finished, have him tell you to turn around.
3. Pick the cards up in order, and put them in your pocket. Secretly remove the three cards you’ve hidden
earlier and place them face down on the table. Ask, “What card did you choose 1,2,3 or 4?” When they
reply say, “Isn’t that funny that’s the only card still in my pocket” - and count down that number of cards,
pull that card out of your pocket, and read the card he picked. For instance, you’ll say, “you picked the ace
of diamonds,” as you place that card on the table.
64. EASY FORCE
“Forcing” a card means you are always able to make the volunteer take the card you want them to. In this
trick, you predict the card the volunteer will cut to.
SUPPLIES NEEDED: Deck of playing cards
THE SECRET: By memorizing the card on the bottom of the deck, this trick works like a charm!
SHOW:
1. Ask a volunteer to cut the deck. Take the bottom of the cut and place it on top of the rest of the deck,
cross-ways as in FIGURE 1.
2. Make some casual conversation before you predict the card (which is really the one you memorized).
3. Lift up the top part of the deck, as in FIGURE 2, to reveal the bottom card. The volunteer will be amazed
to see you are correct. They won’t realize this is the card that was on the bottom of the deck before they
cut it!
