20. HANDKERCHIEF VANISHER
A handkerchief pushed into your fist disappears!
PROPS USED: Handkerchief Vanisher
SUPPLIES NEEDED: Jacket, safety pin, handkerchief
THE SECRET: A hidden vanisher with the handkerchief inside it springs back to a
hiding place under your jacket.
SECRET SETUP: With adult supervision, tie a safety pin to the end of the elastic cord
on the handkerchief vanisher. See FIGURE 1. Pin the safety pin to the inside of your
jacket near the shoulder. Put on your jacket. Reach under your jacket for the vanisher
and hide it in your fist. See FIGURES 2 & 2.1. Put a small handkerchief in your jacket
pocket on the opposite side from the vanisher.
SHOW:
1. Say, “Watch carefully to see what happens to my handkerchief!” Turn slightly to
one side so that the hand holding the vanisher is away from the audience.
2. Take the handkerchief from your pocket. Toss the handkerchief over your fist.
3. Push the handkerchief into your fist. Secretly you pushed it into the vanisher. See
FIGURE 3.
4. Keeping your hand in a fist, let go of the vanisher. The vanisher with the handkerchief will spring back
inside your jacket. See FIGURE 4. As you let go, bring both closed hands forward as though you are still
holding the handkerchief. Open your hand and show that the handkerchief has disappeared. Your audience
will be astounded.

21. COLOR CHANGING TISSUE
A tissue changes colors inside your hand!
PROPS USED: Handkerchief Vanisher
SUPPLIES NEEDED: Jacket, safety pin, two different color tissues (such as blue and white)
THE SECRET: You’ve already hidden a blue tissue inside your hand. The white one (the one the audience
sees) goes into the secret vanisher. So when you open your hand, all that’s left is the blue tissue!
SECRET SETUP: Assemble and attach the vanisher to your jacket as in the Secret Setup of the
Handkerchief Vanisher trick. Hold the vanisher in your hand. Fold the blue tissue into a small square and
hide it in your hand next to the vanisher. Make sure the audience can't see the vanisher or the blue tissue!
SHOW:
1. Open by saying, “ Watch what happens to the white tissue!” Place the white tissue over your fist.
2. Push the tissue into your fist...but really push it inside the vanisher.
3. Keeping your hand in a fist, let go of the vanisher. The vanisher, with the white tissue inside, will spring
back inside your jacket. As you let go, bring your closed hand forward. Open to reveal the blue tissue. Your
audience will wonder how you did it!
22. DOLLAR VANISHER
A dollar bill completely disappears into thin air!
