MAGIC CARD GRAB
EFFECT: Amazing audience reaction as, you appear
to grab card after card from behind their ears, under
tables, even from thin air! Although a rather basic
move, this is one of the truly timeless tricks of magic.
YOU WILL NEED: Pack of cards
HOW TO DO THE TRICK:
to the audience before producing the next card as if
by magic. Practice this trick in front of a mirror to see
it from an audience eye view and get to get the best
angle for the trick to be performed.
ELEVATING CARD
EFFECT: The top card of the deck is turned face up to
the audience. The card is once again turned face down
and removed from the deck. The magician now places
this card into the middle of the deck and then squares
the deck. The magician snaps his ngers and the card
returns immediately to the top of the deck.
PREPARATION: Deck of cards
METHOD: This trick uses the principle of the double
lift. When showing the top card actually perform a
double lift and show the card that was really second
from the top of the pack. Then remove the actual
top card and place it into the middle of the deck. The
already shown card is still on the top of the deck and
can be revealed in any way that the magician wishes.
Make sure that the double lift is clean and bend the
cards slightly to ensure that they stay together as one.
SWITCH A CARD TRICK
PERFORMANCE: You show your spectator the Ace of
Spades and hand it to them face down, telling them
that it is their card, and to remember it. You then
show them the Ace of Hearts telling them that it is
YOUR card. You keep it face down as well.
With their card held out (face down) you take your
face down card and tell them that you are fast you
are going switch cards with him. You then stab at
their card with your nger, then tell them that you
have changed cards very quickly, do it again and tell
them that the cards are now switched back to their
original positions. You then show him how to do the
“lightning switch (quickly topping each of the two
cards with your nger.) You then switch cards with
him and then give him your card (Ace of Hearts)
