ALCRON POCKET MICROSCOPE
ALCRON is an illuminated 30X hand-held compound microscope especially designed for an accurate
observation of minute details too small to see with the naked eye. Unique integration of built-in
illumination and easy focusing system offer you further conveniences and comfort.
OPERATION PROCEDURE:
Turn ON the Switch for illumination, and then view the Object through the eyepiece with the Front
Cover right on the Object. Adjust Focus Knob as needed.
INVERTING IMAGES
Inverted images are a normal characteristic of ALCRON microscopes. ALCRON is a compound
microscope which uses a lens close to the object being viewed to collect light (called the objective
lens) which focuses a real image of the object inside the microscope. That image is then magnied by a
second lens (called the eyepiece) that gives the viewer an enlarged inverted virtual image of the object.
The use of a compound objective / eyepiece combination allows for much higher magnication.
A simple magnifying glass can magnify an image by a relatively small factor – usually no more than
10X.
Compound microscopes are designed to provide greater magnication (ALCRON = 30X) than can
be provided by a single lens. The microscope is designed to magnify objects that can be brought
close to the device. The magnied image is inverted; however, this is generally not an issue for most
applications.
