3.3. Linking other sirens or receivers
You can also use the SK678 alarm centre to trigger other SK6 sirens, alerts, or receivers with the alarm
centre. For example, you could add an indoor/outdoor siren and have it triggered whenever the alarm
cycle is triggered.
To link the SK678 alarm center to another SK6 receiver, see the instructions for linking sensors that
came with the other receiver. To trigger the SK678 alarm centre, press the PANIC button. It will send
a RF signal for the other receiver to learn.
4. Operation
4.1. Modes
There are 3 modes.
4.1.1. Armed
In ARMED mode, all zones are active and will trigger the alarm. The word ARM is displayed on the
screen.
When a sensor is triggered, the alarm centre screen will display the word TRIGGER along with the zone
number associated with the triggered sensor. The alarm cycle will begin after the entry delay period (see
section 2.7 - Configuring the entry delay) if the system is not first disarmed:
• If the siren is enabled, it will sound for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, then 30 seconds on.
• If remote notifications are configured, the dialing cycle will begin.
4.1.2. Disarmed
In DISARMED mode, only sensors in the 24-hour zone are active and will trigger the alarm.
When a sensor in zones 1 - 8 is triggered, the alarm centre does not respond.
When a sensor in the 24-hour zone is triggered, the alarm cycle will begin immediately:
• If the siren is enabled, it will sound for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, then 30 seconds on.
• If the siren is disabled, the unit will beep 4 times.
• If remote notifications are configured, the dialing cycle will begin.
4.1.3. Home (chime)
In HOME mode, the alarm centre will chime when a sensor in an active zone is triggered. The screen will
display TRIGGER along with the triggered zone number for 5 minutes.
The 24-hour zone will still trigger a complete alarm cycle in HOME mode:
• If the siren is enabled, it will sound for 30 seconds on, 30 seconds off, then 30 seconds on.
• If remote notifications are configured, the dialing cycle will begin.
By default, HOME mode activates all zones, but you can remove zones from HOME mode:
1. Enter your password, then press the HOME button.
2. The zone icons will appear at the bottom of the screen, and zone 1 will be flashing.
