1. In standby mode (the system is not ARMED and you have not entered programming mode),
press */UP .

Problem
Cause & Resolution
The alarm centre will not arm/disarm.
a. Make sure you have entered the correct
password.
b. Try performing a password reset (see section
2.2.2 - Resetting the password).
c. Retry the arm/disarm function.
The alarm centre does not dial out and you
hear 4 short beeps when an alarm is triggered.
The telephone line is not connected or not
functioning.
The alarm centre does not dial out.
a. Make sure the telephone numbers are entered
and stored correctly, including area code and
long distance 1 if necessary.
b. Make sure you have not entered the phone
number of the line to which the alarm centre is
connected.
c. Make sure Remote notifications are enabled.
d. Make sure the alarm centre is connected to a
single phone line. It is not compatible with fax
machines or multi-line telephones.
You are receiving false alarms from a specific
zone.
a. Check the troubleshooting guide for the
sensor(s) in that zone.
b. Check the installation of the sensor(s) in that
zone. A water sensor in a damp area or a contact
sensor with more than a ¼” gap, for instance,
may cause false alarms.
c. Check the batteries in the sensor(s) assigned to
that zone. Low batteries can cause false alarms.
You are receiving false alarms.
a. Check the AC power and batteries in the alarm
centre. Low batteries can cause false alarms.
