Results
Button
This button has the following 3 actions:
• Press and release to display the next result in the
sequence.
• Press and hold down for two seconds to store the
current set of results.
• Press to switch the display backlight on when MC2+
is using battery power.
Line
Voltage
LED
This is only lit when MC2+ is switched off. This LED will
be emerald green for POTS or blue for ISDN or
any other service on the line indicating that both wires of
the telephone pair are correctly connected to the
exchange line card.
Ringer This only operates when MC2+ is switched off.
Battery
Status
LED
When this LED is green it indicates that the battery status
is good. When this LED is red it indicates that there is not
enough battery power to continue reliable operation of
MC2+.
Mains
Adaptor
LED
When the MC2+ is using the mains adaptor and is
connected to the mains electricity supply this LED is
green.
On/Off Use to switch MC2+ on and off. The following screen and
a moving progress block are displayed during the start up
process. This process takes approximately 30 seconds.
Viewing the Test Results
After a test has been performed the current test status is
displayed. The screen is normally updated every second.
-1- Run the test.
-2- The current results are displayed.
-3- Press to display the next result in the sequence.
-4- Press again to display further results in the
sequence.
-5- Continue pressing and releasing to cycle through all
the current results.
