Welcome to MC2+
Welcome to MC2+, a hand held tester which enables
you to troubleshoot and maintain equipment on
ADSL, ADSL2 and ADSL2+ lines.
 Note
All the following information applies to both the
Standard MC2+ and the Display Option MC2+
unless stated otherwise.
Supplied with your MC2+
Depending on the options you have chosen to
purchase, MC2+ may be supplied with this User
Guide and the following:
Mains
Adaptor
This is used for connecting MC2+ to the mains
electricity supply and for supplying power to the
battery charger.
Charger The charger is for recharging Nickel-Metal Hydride
rechargable batteries.
Batteries You can use alkaline non-rechargeable batteries or
Nickel-Metal Hydride rechargable batteries to
power MC2+.
Standard MC2+:
You MUST remove the rechargable batteries to
recharge them as the batteries cannot be recharged in
the tester.
Warning
Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargable
batteries in the battery charger.
Display Option MC2+:
You do not need to remove the rechargable batteries.
Use the AC/DC adaptor supplied to connect to
MC2+ and charge the batteries. We recommend that
you charge the batteries for at least 12 hours.
 Note
You can remove the batteries, from the Display
Option MC2+, and use the charger supplied for fast
charging if required.
