8.4. Test Setup According to Reference Method with Three Test Cords
(based on ISO/IEC 14763-3)
This is the preferred measuring method, which can be used for any topology - both
installation and transmission line. Irrespective of the plug face, it is also used on the
measuring equipment and within the transmission line.
Calibration takes place via reference line between the launch cords and tail cords used for
measurement.
This measurement method is applied to FiberTEK™ FDX.

8.5. Test setup According to Reference Method with One Test Cord
(based on ISO/IEC 14763-3)
This measuring method is only permitted for measurement of installation lines that are set up
as Simplex lines. Furthermore, all connectors on the measuring equipment and within the line
must be of the same type.
Calibration is performed with the launch cord used for the measurement. Subsequently, the
line to be measured and a tail cord are introduced.
