Analog
DSP
Harness
Installation Instructions
This harness
is
used
to
simplify installation
of
aftermarket
amplifiers and digital signal
processors at
the
factory head
unit
in vehicles
without
external amplifiers. There are three
ways this harness
can
be used.
Rockford/Maestro DSRl:
Detailed wiring instructions
for
this installation are available
after
flashing
the
DSRl.
Go
to
https://maestro.idatalink.com/weblinkdesktop/en and download Weblink Desktop.
Flash
the
DSRl and
follow
the
instructions provided
after
flashing.
Other Maestro
AR
compatible Products:
When used
with
a compatible product, a Maestro
AR
is
not
required. However, each
manufacturer makes specific adaptors
to
plug
into
the
18-pin plug on this harness.
Once you have
the
adaptor, cut
the
red/black wire
from
the
18-pin plug
of
this harness and
connect
it
to
the
blue amplifier
turn
on wire
in
the
adaptor
harness
as
shown below.
Each
adaptor
is
slightly
different
and may
not
exactly match this example.
If
you
want
to
use
the
factory speaker wires, connect
the
outputs
of
your
amplifier
to
the
loose speaker wires
of
this harness.
NOTE: The
DSP
product software does
not
need
to
be
updated
to
be
Maestro specific. The
standard software should
be
used.
Universal Application:
This harness can
be
used
to
connect directly
to
high level inputs
of
any
DSP
product,
LOC,
or
amplifier. Simply cut
off
the
18-pin plug and wire
it
directly
to
the
inputs
of
the
product you
are installing. These are
EIA
colors
as
shown below.
