INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
• Remove the factory radio and plug the DSP-CH3 T-Harness
in line with the radio plug.
STEP 2
• Confi gure the 2 pin connectors on the DSP-CH3 T-harness
as shown on the wiring diagram.
STEP 3
• Connect the wires from the DSP-CH3 T-harness to the
aftermarket amplifi er.
Note 1:
If you are running your own speaker wires from the
amplifi er to the speakers, this step is not necessary.
• Plug the RCA cables in the aftermarket amplifi er.
STEP 4
• Connect all the harnesses to the DSR1 module.
STEP 5
Re-program the OEM radio to “amplifi ed mode”.
• Turn ignition ON.
• Within 5 seconds, cycle the parking brake ON-OFF-ON (the
horn will honk one time to confi rm you are in programming
mode).
• Within 10 seconds, set the turn signal LEFT to add the
amplifl ier (the horn will honk one time to confi rm that you
chose an option).
Note: If you need to return the radio to its factory non-
amplifi ed mode, do this programming procedure and select
the RIGHT turn signal instead.
• Wait. The radio should reboot twice, and horn will honk:
2 times : Amplifi ed mode
3 times : Non-Amplifi ed mode
5 times : Failed to program
CHIME ADJUSTMENT
This is only needed when the vehicle supports chimes (ex:
Parking assist, Blind spot detection, Lane sense, etc.).
• Set the audio source to OFF. If there is no way to turn the
radio OFF, set the source to AUX.
• The OEM radio will have 3 volume settings for parking
assist (Low/Med/High), it is recommended to choose
Medium volume.
• Activate any chime (ex: rear parking assist).
• Adjust the chime volume using the volume knob.
