Chapter 2

Initial Installation

This Chapter covers t he installation of t he Icont rol One Link .

Requirements

• Use a standard 10/100BaseT network (UTP) cable with RJ45 conn ector.

Procedure

1. Choose an Installation Site

Select a suitable place to install the Icontrol One Link.

2. Connect LAN Cable

Use standar d LAN cable to con nect the router and the Ethern et port on the Icontrol One

Link.

4. Power Up

Plug th e Icontrol One Link in to an outlet or exten sion cord.

5. Check the LEDs

• The POWER LED should be ON.

• The Service LED should be ON.

6. Connect Other Devices

Use the Icontrol One Link as a network coordinator to connect certified Z-Wave sensors

and home surveillance devices.
