1. If system power present indicator is on, reduce to
minimum configuration (see page 136) and replace
components one at a time to isolate fault.
2. If no system power:
a. Power supply
b. Power backplane
Power Supply X Fan Fault

1. Reinsert the referenced power supply
2. Replace power supply X.
3. Replace power backplane.
Power Supply X Temperature Fault
1. Verify fan air intake areas are clear and well-ventilated.
2. Verify all system fans are installed and functioning.
3. Power supply x.
Power supply current exceeded max spec

1. Insert another power supply (if possible) and ensure AC
cord connections
2. Remove devices consuming extraordinary power from the
system.
3. Replace power backplane.
Processor configuration prohibits CPU X
from operating at maximum speed

2. Remove devices consuming extraordinary power from the

1. Check the POST/BIOS boot checkpoint indicator and refer
to appropriate documentation.
2. Verify memory board and DIMMs are properly connected and
seated, and that they are functional.
3. Attempt to boot from backup BIOS image.
