Scoring and Modeling Parameters
When deploying a stream to I B M SPSS Collaboration and D eployment Serv ices, you can choose
which parameters can be viewed or edited each time the model is updated or scored. For example,
you might specify maximum and minimum values, or some other value t hat may be sub ject to
change each time a job is run.

The list of available parameters is defined on the Pa r ameters tab in the stream properties dialog
box. For more information, see the topic Setting Stream and Session Parameters in Chapter 5
on p. 68.
The Scoring Branch
If you are deploying a stream, one branch of the stream must be designated as the scoring branch
(that is, the one containing the scoring node). When you de signate a branch as the scoring
branch, that branch is highlighted on the stream canvas, as is the model link to the nugget on the
scoring bran ch. This visual r epresentation is particularly useful in co mplex streams with multiple
branches, where the scor ing bra nch might not be imme diately obvious.
Note: Only one stream branch can be des ignated as the scoring branch.
