Storing Models and Model Palettes
You can store an individu al model as a .gm file in the repository, from whe r e it can be accessed
by other user s. You can also store the complete contents of t he Models palette as a .gen file in
the repos itory.
Storing a model
E Click the object on the Models palette in S PSS Mod eler, and on the main m enu click:
File > Models > Store Model...
E Alternatively, right-click an object in t he Models palette and click Store Model.

E On the pop-up me nu, click Store Palette.

Completing the storage procedure
E Specify connection settings to the re pository if necessary. For more information, see the
topic Co nnecting to the Repository on p. 161. For specific port, password, and other connection
details, contact your local system administrator.
E In the Repository: Store dialog b ox, choose the folder where yo u want to store the obje ct, specify
any other information you want to record, an d click the Store button. For more inf ormati on, see
the topic Setting Object Properties on p. 164.
Retrieving Objects from the Repository
You can retrieve streams , models, model palettes, nodes, projects, and output objects that have
been stored in the repository.
Note: Besides using the men u options as described here, you can also retrieve streams, output
objects, models and model p alettes by right-clicking in the a ppropriate tab of the managers pane at
the top right of the SPSS Modeler win dow.
E To retrieve a stream, on the IBM® SPSS® Modeler main menu click:
File > Retrieve Stream...
E To retrieve a model, model palette, project, or output object, on the SPSS Mo deler main menu
click:
File > Models > Retrieve Model...
or
File > Models > Retrieve Models Palette...
