Ensure secure connection. Specifies whether a Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) connection should
be used. SSL is
a commonly used protocol for securing data sent over a network. To use this
feature, SSL must be e nabled on the server hosting the repository. If necessary, contact y our
local administrator for details.

User ID and password. Specify a valid user name and passwo r d for logging on. If necessary,
contact your local administrator for m ore information.
Provider. Choose a security provider for authentication. The repository c an be configured to use
different security prov iders; if necessary, contact your local administrator for more informa tion.
Remember repository and user ID. Saves the current s ettings as the de f ault so that y ou do not have
to reenter them each time you want to connect.
Browsing the Repository Contents
The repository allow s you to browse stored content in a man ner similar to Windows Explorer; you
can also browse versions of each stored object.
E To open the IBM® SPSS® Collabora tion and Deployment Services Repository window, on the
SPSS Mod eler menus click:
Tools > Repository > Explore...

topic Co nnecting to the Repository on p. 161. For specific port, password, and other connection
details, contact your local system administrator.
