Sections 6.8.1 through 6.8.14 describe the specific configuration for each of the above servers.
The SSM servers, Location Servers, NFS Mount Daemons, and Startup Daemons do not have
specific configurations.
6.8.1 Bitfile Server Specific Configuration
The BitfileServer specific configurationentry can becreated usingthe Bitfile ServerConfiguration
window. Aftertheconfiguration entryis created,it canbeviewed, updated,or deletedthrough the
same window.
From the HPSSHealth and Status window (shownin Figure 6-1), clickon the Admin menu, select
the Configure HPSS option and click on the Servers option. The HPSS Servers window will be
displayed as shown in Figure 6-5.
To add a new specific configuration, select the Bitfile Server entry and click on the Type-specific...
button from the Configuration button group on the HPSS Servers window. The Bitfile Server
Configurationwindow willbedisplayed asshown inFigure6-20with defaultvalues. Ifthedefault
data is notdesired, changethe fields with the desired values. Click onthe Add button to create the
configuration entry.
Toupdateanexistingconfiguration,selecttheBitfileServerentryontheHPSSServerswindowand
click on the Type-specific... button from the Configuration button group. The Bitfile Server
Configuration window will be displayed with the configured data. After modifying the
configuration, click on the Update button to write the changes to the appropriate SFS file.
To deletean existingconfiguration, selectthe BitfileServer entryon theHPSS Serverswindow and
click on the Type-specific... button from the Configuration button group. The Bitfile Server
Configuration window will be displayed with the configured data. Click on the Delete button to
delete the specific configuration entry.
Refertothe window’shelpfile formoreinformationon the individualfields andbuttonsaswell as
the supported operations available from the window.
