Click the "OK" button to minimize the IRISPen application; clicking the "Mini-
mize" button in the upper right corner amounts to the same thing. The IRISPen
application now runs in the background.
... AND THE IRISPEN CONTROL ON THE TASKBAR
The Windows taskbar confirms that the IRISPen application is running: you’ll
find the IRISPen control on the Windows taskbar!
The IRISPen control indicates whether the pen scanner is available - if it is
detached from your USB port, the Windows taskbar will indicate this.
You can call up some frequent commands by right-clicking the IRISPen con-
trol: amongst others, you can restore the IRISPen application, enable the status
window and the greyscale image viewer. More about the greyscale image viewer
shortly.
PUTTING PEN TO PAPER
Start WordPad or another text-based application. Keep your I.R.I.S. test sheet
to hand.
