Charging in Power Off Charging Mode
Before connecting the car charger, the battery pack should be installed in the printer and the printer is
turned off.
Ensure that the car engine is running or in the accessory position.
(1) Install the battery pack in the printer.
(2) Plug the DC plug of the car charger to the power connector of the printer.
(3) Plug the cigar plug of the car charger to a car accessory socket.
(4) Charging starts in the power off charging mode.*
During charging, the POWER LED lights in orange.
(5) When charging is successfully complete to full charge, the power off charging mode ends and the
POWER LED turns off.
The printer maintains the power off state.
In case that a battery error occurs during charging, the printer turns on automatically, and the
ERROR LED shows the error status.
Since the power off charging mode is canceled, the printer does not turn off automatically.
*: When "Enable" is selected for Auto Activation by AC(MS1-7) of the function settings, the printer turns on automatically and
charging starts in the power on charging mode.
For the function setting method, see "11 FUNCTION SETTINGS", and for the list of memory switch settings, see
"22 MS SETTINGS LIST".
