Remove the injector hold-down nut and apply a coat
of anti-seize compound to injector surface (A). Avoid
getting anti-seize compound in the fuel drain hole
(B).
Install the hold-down nut on the injector body.
Install a new o-ring into the recessed groove
on the top of the hold-down nut. Make sure the
o-ring is not cut or wisted when installing
(BOSCH and Stanadyne). CAV injectors retain
the o-ring inside the hold-down nut.
Apply a coat of anti-seize compound to the
threads of the injector hold-down nut.
