This feature applies only to radios with GPS, BDS, or GLONASS.
11.2.1 Enable Positioning
1. On the home screen, go to Menu>Position>PositionOn/Off
2. Press the OK/Menu key.
11.2.2 View Position
Local Position
1. On the home screen, go to the Menu>Position>Position View.
2. Press the OK/Menu key to view the position information of your radio (including longitude, latitude, speed,
altitude, time, date, and the number of satellites).
Contact Position
1. On the home screen, go to Menu>Position>Query Location>Contact List.
2. Select a contact.
3. Press the OK/Menu key to view the location information of a nearby private contact (including alias, direction,
and distance).
11.2.3 Enable Call Location
During a call, if the transmitting radio is enabled with the Call Location feature, the receiving radio displays the
location information of the transmitting radio when receiving valid positioning data.
11.2.3.2 Enable Voice with Location
Voice with Location allows the radio to report its location information when initiating a private call, a group call, or an
emergency call.
1. On the home screen, go to Menu>Position>Call Location>Voice with Location.
2. Press the OK/Menu key.
11.2.3.3 Display Call Location
If the transmitting radio is enabled with the Voice w/Location feature and the receiving radio is enabled with the
Display Call Location feature, the receiving radio displays the location information of the transmitting radio during a
call.
