• Place Bio Balls into your wet/dry filter of your pond or aquarium
Bio Balls optimize biological filtration in your pond or aquarium system by providing
bacteria beneficial to the eco-system surface areas on which to grow and colonize. Our
Bioballs are black and are manufactured of non-toxic, high density polyethylene. This
allows us to ensure that our bio balls are sturdy and the pins will not be brittle and break
off like some of the cheaper made products out there that use lower grade materials.
Place them in your wet/dry filters to improve biological filtration (the action of bacteria in
breaking down dangerous ammonia into less toxic nitrates. They measure approximately
1.5 inches in diameter and are proudly manufactured in the USA. There are
approximately 2,000 Bio balls per case and 780 Bio balls per cubic foot. Each cubic foot
weighs 9.96 pounds. The surface area for each Bio ball is 22.7328 inches.
