MEET OUR
DESIGNERS
When design meets function something
unique is created. It is dicult to describe
in words. It must be seen, touched and
experienced. HWAM has a long tradition
of working together with talented Danish
designers. The combination of their sen-
se of aesthetics and detail and the know-
how of our experts results in functional
handicraft.
The development of a HWAM wood-
burning stove always starts with the
design, after which the construction pro-
cess begins.
Strand + Hvass Sørig & Jacobsen Anders C. Fasterholdt
The designer team Strand +
Hvass consists of Christina
Strand and Niels Hvass, who
specialise in industrial furnitu-
re design. Their style is classic
Danish: minimalistic lines and
functional forms. They strive to
create aesthetic synergy be-
tween form and material.
Strand + Hvass have won several
design awards, including one for
the design of a chair for the Da-
nish crown prince.
Anders C. Fasterholdt always
focuses on the function of the
wood-burning stove, the needs
of the stove-owner and the
aesthetic sensuality. He creates
stoves and solutions that work in
everyday life.
As a designer, he strives to
remove all unnecessary noise
so that the design is as clean as
possible.
The designer team Sørig &
Jacobsen consists of Henrik Sørig
and Tobias Jacobsen.
Their design tells a story and plays
on the harmony between function,
form and technique. They have
a keen eye for details and work
with simplicity of appearance and
design. Good design is when the
stove matches the user’s needs
perfectly.
