2003 FORD SUPER DUTY KING RANCH REAR MUD GUARD
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Install Paint Protection Film before mud guards (see other side)
Please read instructions thoroughly before installation.
Tools Required
• 1/8” drill bit / Drill
• Short #2 Phillips screwdriver
• Center punch
Package Contents
• Driver & passenger side rear mud guard
• #10 screw (qty. 6)
• Washer (qty. 2)
• U-clip (qty. 2)
• Paint Protection Film (1 set)
• Instruction sheet
NOTE: It may be necessary to remove the rear wheels for mud guard installation.
1. Clean and degrease the mud guard location area on the fender before installation.
2. Remove factory fastener from location B (Figure 1).
3. Place U-clip over sheet metal and align U-clip and sheet metal holes (Figure 2).
4. Attach mud guard to rear fender with a #10 screw and washer at location B thru mud guard and into U-Clip (Figure
2). Make sure mud guard fits tight against fender and is parallel to the ground before tightening.
5. Using the mud guard as a template, center punch and drill 1/8” holes at locations A and C (Figure 1).
6. Install a #10 screw at location A and C.
NOTE: TWO OF THE MUD GUARD HOLES WILL NOT BE USED.
PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Clean mud guard with a soap and water solution to remove dirt and other contaminates.
2. Sand painting surface with 320 grit sand paper.
3. Apply a coating of flexible primer-adhesion promoter.
4. Apply a flexible paint as directed by the paint manufacturer.
