Regulatory Compliance and Safety Information

WARNINGS

 This product contains and is powered from Lithium-Ion batteries. Lithium-ion cells and battery packs may

get hot, explode or ignite and cause serious injury if exposed to abuse conditions. Be sure to follow the

safety warnings listed below:

 Use only batteries with protection circuit! Using unprotected batteries may result in serious

injuries or fire.

 Do not connect the positive terminal and negative terminal of the battery to each other with

any metal object (such as wire).

 Do not carry or store battery together with necklaces, hairpins or other metal objects.

 Do not pierce the battery with nails, strike the battery with a hammer, step on the battery or

otherwise subject it to strong impacts or shocks.

 Do not expose battery to water or salt water, or allow the battery to get wet.

 Use only charger that is included with ROSbot. Use of other charger is possible if it is capable of charging 3S

Li-Ion battery configuration, with maximum current of 1A and only at your own risk.

 The connection of unapproved devices to the CORE2 I/O ports or other ROSbot ports may affect compliance

or result in damage to the unit and invalidate the warranty.

 Keep this product away from children. It has rough edges and contain small parts that could be swallowed.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR SAFE USE

To avoid malfunction or damage to your ROSbot please observe the following:

 Do not expose ROSbot to dust or moisture. ROSbot is designed only for internal use.

 Do not expose it to heat from any source; the ROSbot is designed for reliable operation at normal ambient

room temperatures (0…40°C / 32…104°F)

 Please avoid a deep discharge of batteries which may lower theirs lifecycle.

 Avoid using ROSbot in places where the robot could fall on the ground. It is not designed to resist falls from

a height higher than small thresholds or curbs.

 Clean ROSbot with a damp cloth.

 All peripherals used with the ROSbot should comply with relevant standards for the country of use and be

marked accordingly to ensure that safety and performance requirements are met. These articles include

but are not limited to RC servos, sensors, Wi-Fi USB cards, modems, smartphone/tablet and USB cables used

in conjunction with the ROSbot.

 Periodically check if the wheels and the coupling with motor axes are tightened properly.

 Avoid using ROSbot without connecting the Wi-Fi antenna.

household waste. Alternative arrangements may apply in other jurisdictions.

EUROPEAN UNION (EU) ELECTROMAGNETIC COMPATIBILITY DIRECTIVE COMPLIANCE STATEMENT This product is in conformity with the protection requirements of EU Council Directive 2004/108/EC on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to electromagnetic compatibility. This product has been tested and found to comply with the limits for Class B Information Technology Equipment according to the European Standard EN 55022 and EN 55024.
