34O CEILING Mounting Options OPTION 1 If you have a flat ceiling: 1. You will need a longer downrod (sold separately). 2. If your ceiling angle is greater than 34°, you will also need an Angled Mounting Kit (sold separately). Preparation www.HunterFan.com ! KEEP DISC D AR Time Saver Tip: Get a helper to insert grommets, found in the hardware bag, into the blades while you’re doing the next couple of steps. Remove the shipping blocks from the motor. Save the screws. They will be needed for blade iron installation. Note: Some fans will have a shipping ring instead of shipping blocks. Downrod (continued) KEEP! (not to scale) 8” & 3/8” 1.888.830.1326 STRIP CUT www.HunterFan.com ! KEEP Remove the pre-installed setscrew so that the downrod can be inserted. The wires can be cut, but leave at least 8” extending from the top of the downrod. Hand tighten the downrod (at least 4-5 full turns) until it stops. 8” Tighten the setscrew with pliers. DO NOT HAND TIGHTEN. 3/8” If the setscrew is not tightened securely, the fan may fall.

Follow these steps: Grounded ellow Green/Y Grounded White Gr ou Ungrounded (lig ht) Black ing rou nd ed Green/Yellow Stripe Connect the three grounding wires (green, green/yellow stripe, or bare copper) coming from the ceiling, downrod, and hanging bracket. Un g Connect the black wire (ungrounded) from the ceiling to the black wire from the fan.
Canopy www.HunterFan.com Screw Holes Position the canopy so that, when lifted into place, the canopy fits into the hanging bracket as shown. Lift the canopy into place so that the screw holes are aligned. Insert the two canopy screws found in the hardware bag. Blades www.HunterFan.com Remember the screws that you kept after removing the shipping blocks (page 6)? You need them for this step. Insert grommets found in the hardware bag into the holes in the blades, then secure each blade to a blade iron with screws found in the hardware bag. Switch Housing Screw two housing assembly screws from the hardware bag halfway into the motor housing. It does not matter which two screw holes you choose. Light Kit www.HunterFan.com Switch Housing Screw Connect the plugs from the upper and lower switch housings. Make sure to line up the colored markings on the connectors. Align the notches in the sides of the lower switch housing with the screws on the upper switch housing.
Light Kit (continued) www.HunterFan.com 1.888.830.1326 Shade Socket Ring Socket Ring Tool Remove the socket rings from the sockets. Install the shades onto the sockets. Install the socket rings onto the sockets. Tighten them by turning clockwise with the socket ring glass tool. CONGRA T Bulb Install a bulb into each of the sockets. When necessary, replace with bulbs of the same type and wattage. YOU’REULATIONS! DONE! See next page for fan operation instructions.
Remote Control Battery Door www.HunterFan.com 1.888.830.1326 r we o nP r Tu ON Phillips Head Screw The remote transmitter is already paired to the receiver and ready to use. To access the battery compartment, remove the small Phillips head screw that secures the battery door to the transmitter assembly. The battery should be installed with the positive (+) side up. Replace with a CR2032 battery when necessary. Note: If your need to pair your remote, remove the battery door.
Remote Control Cradle www.HunterFan.com 1.888.830.1326 You have two options to install the included remote control cradle to the wall. Choose which path works best for you. Option 1: Using Screws Option 2: Using Adhesive Strip Choose your cradle installation location. Remove the cradle from the cradle bracket. If you are installing into drywall, drill two 9/64 width holes using the cradle bracket as a guide. Gently hammer the included drywall anchors into the pre-drilled holes.
Operation, Maintenance, and Cleaning www.HunterFan.com 1.888.830.1326 Light Button Fan Button Fan Control Fan Operation: Press and quickly release the fan button on the remote control to turn the fan OFF or ON. Use the fan control directional pad to raise or lower the fan to the desired speed. Press and hold the fan button to reverse the fan direction. Light Operation: Press and quickly release the light button on the remote control to turn the light OFF or ON.
Troubleshooting www.HunterFan.com Fan doesn’t work Excessive wobbling Noisy Operation • Make sure power switch is on. • Tighten all of the blade and blade iron screws until they are snug. • Tighten the blade and blade iron screws until they are snug. • Pull the pull chain to make sure it is on. • Push the motor reversing switch firmly left or right to ensure that it is engaged. • Check the circuit breaker to ensure the power is turned on. • Make sure the blades spin freely.
