KEEP DISC D AR Time Saver Tip: Get a helper to insert grommets, found in the hardware bag, into the blades while you’re doing the next couple of steps. Remove the shipping blocks from the motor. Save the screws. They will be needed for blade iron installation. Note: Some fans will have a shipping ring instead of shipping blocks. Please remove the ring and save the screws.

The wires can be cut, but leave at least 8” extending from the top of the downrod. Hand tighten the downrod (at least 4-5 full turns) until it stops. 8” Tighten the setscrew with pliers. DO NOT HAND TIGHTEN. 3/8” If the setscrew is not tightened securely, the fan may fall.

Wiring OM FR CEILIN G Using an orange wire connector from the hardware bag, connect the black wire (ungrounded) from the ceiling to the black wire from the receiver. Connect the white wire (grounded) from the ceiling to the white wire from the receiver.
www.HunterFan.com Canopy Screw Holes Position the canopy so that, when lifted into place, the canopy fits into the hanging bracket as shown. Lift the canopy into place so that the screw holes are aligned. Insert the two canopy screws found in the hardware bag. Blades www.HunterFan.com 1.888.830.1326 Remember the screws that you kept after removing the shipping blocks (page 6)? You need them for this step. Insert grommets found in the hardware bag into the holes in the blades, then secure each blade to a blade iron with screws found in the hardware bag. Lightly attach the blade irons to the motor with the blade iron armature screws, then securely tighten after both screws are attached.
Switch Housing Screw two (2) housing assembly screws from the hardware bag halfway into the motor housing. It does not matter which two screw holes you choose. www.HunterFan.com Feed the wire plug through the center hole of the upper switch housing, then wrap keyhole slots around the screws and twist counterclockwise. the 1.888.830.1326 Insert the third screw, found in hardware bag, into place and then tighten all three (3) screws.
www.HunterFan.com Light Kit 1.888.830.1326 Screw Holes Connect the plugs from the upper and lower switch housings. Make sure to line up the colored markings on the connectors. Lift the lower switch housing up until its screw holes are aligned with the screw holes in the upper switch housing. 14 M3514-01 • 02/19/13 • © Hunter Fan Company Install the three switch housing screws found in the hardware bag. Make sure the lower switch housing is securely attached to the upper switch housing.
www.HunterFan.com Light Kit (continued) 1.888.830.1326 Threaded Portion of Heater Vent Glass Bowl CONGRA T YOU’REULATIONS! DONE! Finial Install a light bulb in each socket. Note: Do not use CFL bulbs to replace your light bulbs. Your lights may flicker or fail to work. Note: Globe style and number of lights may vary. Place the glass bowl over the heater vent, ensuring the threaded portion of the heater vent comes out of the bottom of the glass bowl.
www.HunterFan.com Remote Control 1.888.830.1326 Setting the DIP switches: You will only have to change the DIP switch settings in the remote if you are using more than one remote controlled fan in the same area and want to control them separately. You may want to label your remotes to ensure you do not mix them up. + – DIP switches Install one (1) 12-Volt, type 23A, MN-21 battery (included) into the transmitter. Clean the battery contacts and also those of the device prior to battery installation.
www.HunterFan.com Remote Control (continued) Light Heater 1.888.830.1326 Fan Operation: Auto Resume Feature To start the fan, press the speed button on the remote at the level you desire: • 3 for high • 2 for medium • 1 for low To turn off the fan, press 0. This fan contains a receiver with an auto resume feature. The receiver remembers the intensity of the light, speed and direction of the fan, and whether the heater is on or off.
Maintenance & Cleaning r Tu r we o nP ON www.HunterFan.com 1.888.830.1326 Threaded Portion of Heater Vent Glass Bowl Finial Reverse Switch Changing the bulbs - unscrew the finial and remove it from the heater vent while supporting the glass bowl with your other hand. Carefully remove the glass bowl. Unscrew bulbs and replace with bulbs of same type and wattage. Reinstall the glass bowl assembly. Changing the direction of air flow - press the reverse switch.
www.HunterFan.com Troubleshooting Fan doesn’t work Excessive wobbling Noisy Operation • Make sure power switch is on. • Tighten all of the blade and blade iron screws until they are snug. • Tighten the blade and blade iron screws until they are snug. • Pull the pull chain to make sure it is on. • Push the motor reversing switch firmly left or right to ensure that it is engaged. • Check the circuit breaker to ensure the power is turned on. • Make sure the blades spin freely.
