Before Beginning Installation Standard Mount OFF ON ON ON OFF OFF ON OFF OFF Turn Power OFF, breaker and light switch. This installation is for flat ceilings using the short pre-installed downrod ceiling fans. WARNING To avoid possible electrical shock, before installing your fan, disconnect the power by turning off the circuit breakers to the outlet box associated with the wall switch location. IMPORTANT The longest accessory downrod that can be used with HunterExpress® fans is 12-inches.
a Installation – Canopy Mount and Terminal Wiring 1a Building Structure Mount 1 A Prep BB • You must be able to secure the fan to building structure or fan-rated outlet box. • You have two options for installation. Pick which one works best for your location. Remove any existing bracket prior to installation. AA 2 Using wood screws (AA) and washers (BB) included, install canopy mount (A) through box outlet into building structure.
Installation – Canopy Mount and Terminal Wiring (continued) 1b Single Switch Wiring Connect wiring from ceiling to terminal block (on side of canopy mount) and tighten using flathead screwdriver (included). Green, Green Yellow Stripe, or Bare (grounding) White (grounded) WARNING The ceiling fan must be grounded. If the ground wire for the installation site is not present, immediately STOP installation and consult a qualified electrician.
Installation – Fan Body, Wiring Harness, Canopy Cover, and Blades Connect 2b 2a A A 2 B 1 B C B NOTICE C To prevent damage to fan, ALWAYS lift holding either the fan housing or the downrod. Install snap-on canopy (B) over downrod on fan body (C). Place the down rod ball into the slot in canopy mount (A) with built-in ceiling bracket. 2c Connect wiring harness from canopy mount (A) to wiring harness from fan body (C).
Installation – Light Kit Notch Complete Remove the cardboard plug guard before proceeding! Pin 3c Raise the light kit to the bottom of the fan. Align the notch on the mounting ring on the top of the light kit with the pin in the mounting bracket on the bottom of the fan. 3a Connect the plugs from the fan and light fixture. Make sure to line up the colored markings on the connectors. IMPORTANT HOLD HERE 3b Push the connector and excess wire into the hole at the top of the light fixture.
Installation – Glass Cover Screw Bulb Glass 3e x4 To install the glass, first loosen the thumb screws. Raise the glass to the light fixture. Tighten all thumbscrews securely. 3f x4 Install a bulb into each of the sockets. When necessary, replace with bulbs of same wattage. WARNING GLASS FALL HAZARD To prevent SERIOUS INJURY or DEATH, make sure that glass is properly secured. ON OFF ON ON OFF OFF ON OFF ON Turn Power ON, breaker and main switch.

Head Troubleshooting Goes Here Fan Does Not Work • Make sure power switch is on. • Check the circuit breaker to ensure the power is turned on. • Make sure the blades spin freely. • Turn off power from the circuit breaker, then loosen the canopy and check all the connections according to the wiring diagram. Excessive Wobbling • Make sure the blades are properly installed on the blade iron posts. • Turn the power off, support the fan carefully, and check that the hanger ball is properly seated.

Slide down inner sleeve (6). Place screwdriver through hole in downrod (7) making sure not to hit or twist wiring. Twist screwdriver counter-clockwise to break downrod free. 6 10 7 4.
