4.Getting Started
What is SIM?
When registering your mobile phone number, you will have a SIMSubscriber Identity
Module card provided by the network supplier.
With the SIM card, storing many parameters required for communications, you can use
the various functions of the handset, and save personal information, including PIN
(Personal Identification Number), phonebook, short message and other extra system
services.Use the SIM card carefully, do not distort or press hard to the card. In case of
missing, ask the network supplier for solution.
Note: Do not leave your SIM card within the reach of small children.
PIN code
This is the personal identification code for your SIM card. If your phone applies PIN
code protection functionthe screen will indicate "Enter PIN1 code" when you switch on
your phone.
You can acquire the PIN 1 code while obtaining the SIM card from your network
supplier. Usually the PIN 1 code is 4 digits.During entry of the PIN 1 code, the screen
will display * to substitute the input content.
PIN 2 code
It is a personal identification code required when using specific functions e.g. charging
information, etc. submitted by the network.
<Warning>: If the wrong PIN code is entered for three times consecutively, the SIM card
will be blocked. Please contact your network supplier immediately for decoding. Trying
to decode by yourself may possibly result in the SIM card permanent failure
