The CCM HT LAN interface (shown in figure 6-15) is an RJ48
connector that connects the IDU to the hub LAN router, which
provides connectivity to the Element Management System (EMS).
The LAN interface supports 10BaseT, up to 10 Mbps.
The reference clock interface (shown in figure 6-15) is also a
RJ48 connector. It connects the customers clock distribution
network to the IDU. (The EMS operator has to configure the IDU
to accept an external clock.)
The CCM LED indications are explained in the following

Servicespecific interface modules (SSIs) provide interfaces to
support specific network services. SSI types used depend on the
needs of the customer network.
The following SSIs can be installed in the HT IDU chassis:
DS3TDM SSI (HNS 10270940001)
OC3cATM (HNS 30031360003)
DS3transparent (HNS 10270940002)
The OC3cATM SSI is installed in chassis slot 3 only, and the
DS3TDM SSI is installed in slot 5 only.
The DS3TDM SSI, shown in figure 6-17, provides a structured
or transparent D3 service link between the HT and RT.
