Notice before using
Thank you for purchasing our Bluetooth Stereo Headset
HS899. First of all, please check the items in your package
and carefully study the user guide to know the function details.
HS899 is developed by the innovative Bluetooth wireless
technology, enabled to connect the Bluetooth mobile phone/
audio devices with Stereo Gateway (HS809/819/829/839)or
any Bluetooth device which is with Bluetooth V1.1/V1.2/V2.0
and supports Bluetooth A2DP and AVRCP (Audio Advance
Distribution Prole).

If you nd any shortage, please contact the retailer shop which
you purchase this product from.

Plug the travel charger into the AC outlet and then connect
the charger into the DC input of the HS899 unit. The red
indicator will illuminate. When the battery is fully charged,
the red indicator will be switched off. Remember to charge
the headset for 4 hours before using it for the first time.
Subsequent charging times will take approximately 2 hours to
fully charge the battery.

slow blue ash

Turning ON/OFF the headset
Press the button( ) for 3 seconds. The blue indicator will
be begun to ash. A short "Du----" tone can be heard. The
headset is turned on.
Press the button( ) again for 3 seconds. A "Du---BI---",
tone can be heard. The headset is turned off.

Pairing the headset
1. Ensuring the headset is initially switched OFF. Turn on the
headset, and then press the button( ) for 5-6 seconds until
the blue and red indicator begin to ash alternately.
The headset is now in pairing mode. Initiate the pairing
process on your Bluetooth mobile phone.(Please refer to
your mobile phone manual for more information.)
2. When asking for the pin-code, please enter "0000" to
successfully complete the pairing process.
3. If the pairing is not established over a period of approx..1
minute, the pairing process will be terminated. Please
repeat the pairing process.
4. Pairing up with PC/NB & mobile phone: If you are going
to combine the music listening from the PC/NB with this
stereo headset, please pair up with the PC/NB first, after
that, please pair up with the mobile phone Same

Receiving and ending calls
1. Press the button( ) to answer a call.
2. Press the button ( ) again to end the call.

Last number redial
To redial the last outgoing call, press button ( ) for 3 seconds
until a beep tone is heard then release ( This function is
subject to the settings of the mobile phone. Please refer to the
mobile phone manual for further information).

Voice-dialing
To active the voice-dialing function, press the button ( ) then
release once a beep tone is heard. (This function is subjected
to the setting of the mobile phone. Please refer to your mobile
phone manual for further information.

Rejecting a call
To reject an incoming call, press the button( ) for 3 seconds
until a beep tone is heard.

Transferring a call
Press button ( ) for 3 seconds to transfer a call from the
mobile phone to the headset or from the headset back to the
mobile phone. (Press refer to your mobile phone user guide
for more information.)

Remark:Transferring between incoming call and music
playing
When the mobile phone is playing music, the music will be
interrupted if there is an incoming callress the function button
to receive call.
When the call is end, the music will play automatically.

Putting HS899 in standby mode
Headset is in standby mode when in the below situations:
1.Already paired and power on.
2.When Completing pairing
3.After ending call
When headset is in standby mode, you can answer call without
re-power on.
Locally adjust volume on HS899
When talking, you can adjust volume by button V- (volume-
down) or button V+ (volume-up).
Remotely adjust volume by mobile phone
When talking, you can adjust headset volume remotely by
mobile phone’s volume key.

Note: The forward , backward , and play buttons
will only work with mobile phones that support AVRCP
prole. (Please contact your mobile phone manufacturer for
further information).
Connecting with a Bluetooth enable
PC, LAPTOP or PDA
1. Turn ON the headset. Press and hold the button ( ) on the
headset for 3 seconds until the blue and red indicator begin
to ash alternately. The headset is now in pairing mode.
2. Start your Bluetooth software / driver on your computer or
PDA to search for a Bluetooth device.
3. When prompted for a pairing pin-codes, please enter "8888".
4. Select "HS899" from the list of Bluetooth devices to
complete the pairing process.
5. Ensure the audio device settings are setup on your OS
system (e.g. Windows and MAC).
Note: To use the headset with VoIP software, please setup
the audio device settings on both your OS system (e.g.
Windows. Mac) and VoIP software (e.g. Skype ,MSN and
Yahoo Messenger etc.)
Listening to music
After successfully pairing the headset with your mobile phone,
you can play music from your mobile phone. An incoming
call will interrupt the music and the ring will be heard from
the headset.
Note: Make sure your mobile phone is with the music function
and Bluetooth A2DP, AVRCP profiles. (Please contact your
mobile phone manufacturer for further information).
When you are listening to the music from PC/NB, the music
will automatically cut down by the incoming phone. And the
music will play again once the phone is off.
Trouble- Shooting
1. Flashing red LED: Low battery power. Charge the battery
until the red LED is turned off.
2. Cannot turn OFF the headset/LED constantly on: Plug
the travel charger into the AC outlet and then connect the
charger into the DC input of the headset. This will reset to
the last operating status.
3. No connection between the headset and mobile phone.
Make sure that the headset or mobile phone is fully charged
and try again. Check if the mobile phone or headset has
been paired with other Bluetooth device.
1. Hold both sides of the headset and hook on to the ears from
the back of the head.
2. Gently adjust the headset to a comfortable position.
