When you receive your new Laguna Bay Spa, it will arrive with factory
programmed settings with the clock set to Eastern Standard Time, in Normal
Mode, with a Filtration Cycle to begin at 6 PM (18:00) and ending at 8 PM
(20:00) When the spa is in Energy Cost Eciency Mode, the heater only runs
during the lter cycle. For most users, putting the spa in Energy Cost Eciency
Mode mode when the weather is warm or when they will not be using the spa
on a regular basis ensures optimal energy eciency.
Operating Modes
Normal Mode: When your spa is in Normal Mode, the LED will
display “Nom”. While you are using your Laguna Bay Spa, it should be
in Normal Mode. Normal Mode allows full function of jets, ltration cycles and
maintains the water temperature to within a few degrees of the temperature you
set.
Energy Cost Eciency Mode: In this mode, the LED will display “EcE”.
Your spa will run the programmed ltration cycles will heat only during
the ltration cycle. In warm climates and in warm weather, setting the spa in this
mode will eliminate unnecessary heating. If you leave your spa in this mode in
cool climates and during cold months, you may nd that the water temperature
falls too low for daily use. If you plan to use your spa more than 3 days a week
when the ambient temperature is cold, you should leave your spa in Normal
Mode.
Filter Only Mode: When your spa is in Filter Only Mode, the LED
will display “Fil”. Filter Only Mode should be used when you are not
using your spa for extended periods of time. When your spa is in Filter Only
Mode, the spa will run lter cycles but will not heat the water until the water
temperature falls to 44°F. Filter Only Mode prevents water in the spa from
freezing but will not heat the water unless the water temperature reaches 44°F.
