3. If Wi-Fi is turned on, your phone automatically searches for available Wi-Fi networks.
Touch a network, enter the password if prompted, and touch Connect. After a
connection is set up, you will be able to use the Wi-Fi network to access the Internet.
2.2.2 What Wi-Fi protocols does my phone support?
Your phone supports 802.11b/g/n.
2.2.3 Why can't I open web pages when my phone has a Wi-Fi
connection?
The x digital subscriber line (xDSL) connection failed.
If the hotspot (such as a wireless router) your phone connects to accesses the Internet
through xDSL and the xDSL connection fails, the Internet access is unavailable. Check
that the xDSL connection is working properly and try again.
A Domain Name Service (DNS) problem occurred.
For example, if you cannot open web pages but can access Google's Play Store, the DNS
is not working properly. In this case, on the screen where a static IP address can be set,
modify the DNS settings.
The websites that the Wi-Fi hotspot can access are restricted.
In this case, your phone cannot be used to browse web pages at those websites.
2.2.4 My phone cannot detect signals from Wi-Fi hotspots, but
other devices can. What can I do?
Check that the wireless router's service set identifier (SSID) is not hidden.
Restart Wi-Fi on your phone.
Restart your phone.
2.2.5 How do I know whether my phone is using its mobile data
connection or a Wi-Fi connection to access the Internet?
If a Wi-Fi connection is set up, it is prioritized over the mobile data connection. If is
displayed on the upper right corner of your phone, your phone is using a Wi-Fi connection to
access the Internet.
2.2.6 Why can't I connect to a Wi-Fi hotspot?
The password you entered is incorrect. Note that the password is case-sensitive.
The Wi-Fi reception is poor.
2.2.7 What can I do if my phone's Wi-Fi connection automatically
disconnects after the screen turns off?
Change the Wi-Fi sleep policy as follows: Touch Settings > Wireless & networks > Wi-Fi.
Then touch Advanced settings > Keep Wi-Fi on during sleep, and select Always.
