Your phone at a glance Thank you for choosing the Huawei smartphone. Before you start, let's take a look at your new phone. Press and hold the power button to power on your phone. To power off your phone, press and hold the power button, and touch Power off > OK.
Getting started Keep the SIM eject tool away from children and, to avoid injury or damaging your phone, exercise caution when using it. Your phone's built-in battery is not user-removable. To Caution replace the battery, contact an authorized Huawei service center. Do not attempt to remove it yourself. Follow the instructions in the following figures to install your micro-SIM card, microSD card. Before you insert or remove the micro-SIM card, power off your phone.
Locking and unlocking the screen Press the power button to lock the screen. After your phone is idle for a specified period of time, its screen automatically locks. If the screen is off, press the power button to turn it on. Slide your finger in any direction to unlock the screen. Flick up from the bottom of the screen to quickly launch commonly used applications without unlocking the screen.
Calling and messaging Touch to place a call using the dialer. You can also touch a phone number in a message, email, web page, or other screen to place a call. Touch to send a text or multimedia message. You can save photos, audio clips, or videos from received multimedia messages.
Camera Touch . Flick left or right to switch between photo and video capture modes. Frame the scene you want to capture. Let your camera focus automatically or touch the screen to focus on a specific object. Then touch to take a photo. In all focus mode, you can change the focus point on a photo after it's been taken.
Internet connection You can access the Internet through Wi-Fi or a mobile network. Flick down from the status bar to open the notification panel. Touch to turn on the mobile network. Touch to turn on Wi-Fi, and follow the onscreen instructions to connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network. Turn off the mobile network when not in use to help reduce your mobile data usage.
Backing up data Touch Tools > . Choose whether to encrypt the backup file. Follow the onscreen instructions to select data you want to back up, and back it up to your microSD card.
Phone Manager Touch . You can scan your phone for potential hazards with one touch. Follow the onscreen instructions to use one-touch optimization or manually clean the system storage or manage your applications. Flick left to view more functions. You can then clear system trash, set the harassment filter, choose a power saving mode, manage your notifications and application permissions, and more.
Buddy Help Touch > Remote assistance to remotely control the phone of a peer to help them when they're experiencing difficulties. After a remote connection is set up, you can paint or write on your buddy's phone screen, mute or unmute the microphone, and perform other operations.
Fingerprint identification Touch > Fingerprint. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your password and record your fingerprint. You can place your finger on the fingerprint scanner on the back of your phone to unlock the screen. You can also log in to your Huawei ID or access encrypted files using your fingerprint.
Suspend button Open the notification panel and touch to enable the suspend button. Touch to expand the suspend button menu and perform shortcut operations. Touch to display the suspend windows and open certain applications without exiting the current screen.

Charger safety • For pluggable devices, the socket-outlet shall be installed near the devices and shall be easily accessible.
