1 Getting to Know Your Phone Your Phone The following figure shows the appearance of your phone and it is provided only for your reference.
10 Charger/Headset jack Keys and Functions Press… To… z z z z z z z z z z z z z Make a call in standby mode. Answer an incoming call. View call logs in standby mode. Power on or power off the phone (by pressing and holding the key for about 3s). End a call or reject an incoming call. Return to the standby mode. Access the main menu in standby mode. Press… z z z – z To… Enter numbers, letters, and symbols. Call the voicemail in standby mode (by pressing and holding the 1 key for about 3s). Speed-dial a phone number by pressing and holding a key from 2 to 9 for about 3s in standby mode (select Menu > Phonebook > Options > Setting > Speed dial, enable speed dial function and assign the desired phone numbers to the corresponding keys). Select a submenu labeled with the corresponding number. Access the main menu screen in standby mode.

2 Getting Started Installing the SIM Card and the Battery When installing a SIM card, ensure that the golden contact area on the SIM card is facing downward, and the beveled edge of the SIM card is properly aligned with that of the SIM card slot. Removing the Battery and the SIM Card Before removing the battery and the SIM cards, ensure that your phone is powered off.
Installing the microSD Card You can install two microSD cards on the phone at the same time. When installing a microSD card, ensure that the golden contact area on the microSD card is facing downward. Charging the Battery 1. Connect the charger to the charger jack on the phone. 2. Connect the charger to an alternating current (AC) power socket. 3. Wait until the battery is fully charged. During the charging, the charging icon is displayed in animation.

Phone Lock The phone lock protects your phone from unauthorized use. By default, the phone lock function is disabled. You can change the default phone lock code (1234) into any numeric string of four to eight digits. Do remember your phone lock code. If you forget it, contact the service center. PIN and PUK The personal identification number (PIN) protects your SIM card from unauthorized use. The PIN unblocking key (PUK) is used to unlock the blocked PIN.
When the keypad is locked, you can still press answer an incoming call or make an emergency call. to Entertainment z z z Camera: to take pictures. Image viewer: to show the pictures you have stored in the phone memory or on the microSD card. Audio player: to play the audio files stored in the phone memory or on the microSD card. z Sound recorder: to record audio clips. z FM radio: to listen to radio programs. z z Schedule FM record: to record radio programs in predefined time and date.
3 Call Functions Making a Call 1. In standby mode, enter a phone number. z z To make an international call, press to enter the plus sign (+), and then enter the country or region code, area code, and phone number in sequence. To call an extension, enter the phone number, press enter P, and then enter the extension number. 2. Press to dial the number from SIM1 card, or press to dial the number from SIM2 card. 3. Press z z to to end the call.
z Press (Silent) to silence the phone. Then press (Reject) to reject the call. Or press and then select Answer to answer the call. z (Option), If the any-key answer function is enabled, you can press any key except and to answer an incoming call. 4 Text Input Changing the Text Input Mode The icon of the current text entry mode is displayed in the upper left corner of the screen. You can press the mode.
z You can press (Clear) or once to delete the last entered character. You can also press and hold (Clear) for about 3s to clear all the entered characters at a time; or press and hold the entered character one by one. z z In any text input mode, press In any text input mode, press paragraph. to delete to enter a space. to add a new Traditional Input Mode In traditional input mode, you can press the key labeled with the desired letter to enter the letter on the key.
Chinese Input Mode In Chinese input mode, you can enter a Chinese character as follows: 1. Press each key according to the spelling sequence of the PinYin. The phone displays a commonly used Chinese character according to the sequence of key presses. 2. Press 3. Press to scroll to the desired word. to enter the word. Entering a Digit In “123” input mode, press the key labeled with the desired digit.

Select Menu > Messaging > Write message. 2. Write the message. 3. Press (Options) and select Send to, or press . 4.
Writing and Sending a Multimedia Message 1. Select Menu > Messaging > Write message. 2. Write the message. 3. Press z z z (Options) for the following options: Switch to MMS: to change the text message to multimedia message. Add subject: to add the subject content for this multimedia message. Add picture/sound: to add pictures and audio clips to this multimedia message. You can also add slides, add attachments, preview this message, and set the playing interval between two slides. 4.
z z z You can contact your service provider for the availability of the MMS and the method for subscribing to this service. Every MMS has a capacity of 300k bytes. You must open multimedia messages with caution. Objects in multimedia messages may contain viruses that might damage your phone, such as malicious software. 6 Phonebook Creating a Contact 1. Select Menu > Phonebook > Add new contact. 2. Select To SIM1/2 or To phone for saving the contact. 3. Edit the contact.
4. Press (OK). 5. Press (Yes) to save the contact or press to cancel the creation of the contact. (No) Searching for a Contact 1. Select Menu > Phonebook. 2. Enter the first letter of the contact name. 3. Press or to scroll to the desired contact. 7 Multimedia E-book Reader Your phone supports ebooks in .txt format. 1. Select Menu > Multimedia > Ebook reader to display the bookshelf.
2. Select an ebook. 3. Press z z (Options) for the following options: Open ebook: to access the ebook reading screen. Global settings: to configure the font, scroll type, encoding, alignment, and other relevant settings. 4. Press z z (Back) to stop reading the ebook. When reading an ebook, you can press and to turn pages. It is recommended that you store ebooks in Ebook in the phone memory or on the microSD card.
Using the camera The phone is provided with a built-in 0.1 mega pixel CMOS camera at the back, which supports the photographing functions. 1. Select Menu > Camera to launch the camera. 2. Select a scene for taking a picture, and then press to configure the relevant settings as required. 3. Focus the camera on the scene, and then press to take the picture. 4. Press (Back) to save the picture and ready for taking (Options) and select Delete to new one. Or press delete the picture. 8 Audio player 1.
9 FM radio In addition to be used for listening to the radio, the headset cable also functions as an antenna. To ensure good reception of radio programs, do not pull out the headset or bind the headset cable when listening to the radio. 1. Select Menu > FM radio. 2. On the FM radio screen, you can do as follows: z z Press to switch on or switch off the FM radio. Press (Back) to play radio programs in the background. z Press or to adjust the volume. z Press or to tune at a precision of 0.1 MHz.
10 Services You can access Wireless Application Protocol (WAP) sites and use WAP-based services on your phone. To access WAP sites on your phone, you need to subscribe to the corresponding service from your service provider and set the relevant parameters on your phone. For details about the services and charges, contact your service provider. Network Settings To access WAP sites on your phone, you need to set your data account and WAP parameters on your phone first. Setting the Connection Profile 1.
5. Set the account, and then press (Done) to save the settings. 6. Select your service provider, press (OK), and then select Activate profile. Connecting to the Network 1. Press Menu > Services > Internet service > Input address. 2. Enter a Uniform Resource Locator (URL) address. 3. Press (Options), and then select Done to access the address. 11 Other Applications Chat Functions The built-in chat tool FACE BOOK on your phone, allows you to chat, send message and files on the move. 1.
12 Warnings and Precautions This section contains important information pertaining to the operating instructions of your device. It also contains information about how to use the device safely. Read this information carefully before using your device. Electronic Device Power off your device if using the device is prohibited. Do not use the device when using the device causes danger or interference with electronic devices.
Do not power on your device at refueling points such as service stations. Comply with restrictions on the use of radio equipment in fuel depots, storage, and distribution areas, and chemical plants. Otherwise, it may lead to electrolyte leakage, overheating, fire, or explosion. If battery electrolyte leaks out, ensure that the electrolyte does not touch your skin and eyes.
z z z z z z z Do not place your device, battery, and charger in places where they can get damaged because of collision. Otherwise, it may lead to battery leakage, device malfunction, overheating, fire, or explosion. Do not place magnetic storage media such as magnetic cards and floppy disks near the device. Radiation from the device may erase the information stored on them. Do not leave your device, battery, and charger in a place with an extreme high or low temperature.
Emergency Call You can use your device for emergency calls in the service area. The connection, however, cannot be guaranteed in all conditions. You should not rely solely on the device for essential communications.
