WHY YOU SHOULD USE THIS PRODUCT:
This product is for use on all D.E. lters on pools and spas. D.E. Filter Aid is
an all-natural lter media that will trap even the smallest of contaminants.
The high-grade particle lters out particles as small as 3-5 microns.

program: Step 1: Test and adjust pool water balance, Step 2: Sanitize,
Step 3: Shock treat your pool at least once a week, and Step 4: Add
algaecide regularly.
WATER BALANCE:
Adjust and maintain pool water to recommended ranges:
Note: Follow label directions for each product and allow each product
to dissolve and disperse before adding additional products to the pool.
Always check and adjust total alkalinity before adjusting pH levels. Use
a test kit or test strips that measures all these ranges.
HOW TO USE:
1. Use approximately 1.5 lbs. per 10 sq. ft. of filter surface. Check
manufacturer’s guide for filter surface area and recommended dosage.
2. Slurry D.E. Filter Aid in water so it pours easily,
mix 1 part powder with 10 parts water (solution looks like milk.)
3. With pump running, pour slowly into skimmer nearest filter.
OPENING YOUR POOL:
If the D.E. filter was cleaned and stored as part of the previous
season’s closing or winterizing procedure, reassemble the filter
following the filter unit manufacturer’s instructions. See the filter
manufacturer’s instructions for specific usage information. If the filter
was not cleaned at the end of the previous season, that should be done
when the pool is opened. Refer to the How to Use instructions above.
WINTERIZING:
Follow the filter manufacturer’s recommendations for closing or
winterizing procedures. Failure to properly follow instructions could
lead to damage from freezing.
STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Store in a cool, dry and well-ventilated
area. Use entire contents, then dispose in accordance with state and
local regulations.

WARNING: Contains amorphous silica with varying percentages of
crystalline silica.
• Prolonged breathing of excessive concentration of dust may cause
lung damage (Silicosis). • May cause eye and/or respiratory irritation.
• Do not get in eyes, wear goggles when handling. • Do not breathe
dust, use only with adequate ventilation. Crystalline silica has been
classified as carcinogenic for humans (Group 1) by the International
Agency for Research on Cancer.
FIRST AID:
IF INHALED: Move person to fresh air. If person is not breathing, call
911 or an
ambulance, then give artificial respiration, preferably
mouth-to-mouth if possible. Call a poison control center or doctor for
treatment advice.
IF IN EYES: Hold eye open and rinse slowly and gently with water for
15-20 minutes. Call a poison control center or doctor for treatment
advice. IF ON SKIN OR CLOTHING: Take off contaminated clothing.
Rinse skin immediately with plenty of water for 15-20 minutes. Call a
poison control center or doctor for treatment advice. IF SWALLOWED:
Call a poison control center or doctor immediately for treatment advice.
Have person sip a glass of water if able to swallow. Do not induce
vomiting unless told to do so by a poison control center or doctor. Do
not give anything by mouth to an unconscious person. Have the
product container or label with you when calling a poison control
center or doctor, or going for treatment.
