About Messages
Keep in touch with important people in your life. Use the Messages application to
compose and send text (SMS) and multimedia messages (MMS).
From the Home screen, tap > Messages.
On the All messages screen, all your sent and received messages are neatly grouped
into conversations, by contact name or phone number. You can:
Scroll up or down the list of conversations by swiping your finger on the
screen.
Tap a contact name or number to view the exchange of messages.
You can also view your messages on the Home screen with the Messages widget. If
this widget is not there already, you can add it by following the steps in “Personalizing
your Home screen with widgets” in the Personalizing chapter.
Sending a text message (SMS)
If you exceed the limit on the number of characters for a single text message, your text
message will be delivered as one but will be billed as more than one message.
From the Home screen, tap > Messages.
On the All messages screen, tap New message. The Compose screen opens.
